## Beanstalk and Root Risks

The Root codebase is novel and has not been tested in the “real world” prior to the initial Root deployment which happened on November 16th, 2022. Paradox will be the first use case for Roots. The open-source nature of Root means that others can take advantage of any bugs, flaws, or deficiencies in Root.

Root is dependent on Beanstalk, and therefore inherits all of the risks associated with Beanstalk. The security of Beanstalk is assumed. Even if Beanstalk is secure, it is exposed to the risks associated with DAI, USDT, and USDC. If one of these coins depeg it is guaranteed Beanstalk will depeg.
